sketchbook

here is a sketchbook page I have recently finished, and I really like it. I was going to start a larger piece using the same method, but I haven't really gotten around to it since I need to focus on concentration and I don't know what I would draw!

so, here are the things I have been working on. the one on cardboard isn't finished yet (obviously), but I am planning on finishing it this weekend. My linoleum print came out well, I just wasn't ecstatic about the picture and I am glad it is over. I am going to start working more in value, but keep color as the basis of my composition. The last abstract piece I did in drawing and painting, and I really enjoyed doing it, will probably use it in breadth. For my next piece I am tackling a big piece of wood, so I better start planning soon! I should have more time now that I am out of soccer for 2 weeks with a high ankle sprain, which I didn't think was that big a deal until I went to the doctor and they gave me a boot...sigh. But that means (as long as I don't procrastinate) more time for art...yay!
